At the last minute, I headed for Cape Cod on a reccomendation from a friend, who secured an internship as a staff writer for the Chatham Anglers baseball team. The Anglers are part of the Cape Cod Baseball League (CCBL), the premier wood-bat college athlete summer league on the East Coast. A few of these players made it to the pros, where they are currently members of minor league teams or playing in the major leagues. I was the team photographer for Chatham during their 2021 mid-COVID season. It was a wild time. I learned some solid lessons in Chatham. If you ever have a chance to catch a game on the Cape, please go and enjoy Rockwellian America at it’s best.
